I have been running for about 5 yrs after 20 years of being a couch potato. I could hardly walk around the block without getting tired when I started. I finished my first marathon 3 years ago with a time of 5:22. My knees hurt so bad I walked most of the last 6 miles. I just finished my 5th marathon with a 4:22.
Short-Term Running Goals:
I would like to continue picking up my speed as well as my distances.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Like everyone, the thought of qualifying for Boston has entered my head. I still need to take another hour off my time though. I am also intrigued by ultra marathons and am planning a 50 miler for next year. Even a 100 miler sounds interesting to me but I think I need to get 50 miles under my belt first.

Nice easy run started at 10:50 pace and ended at 10:20 for an average of 10:34. Beautiful cool sunny morning.
It was 50 degrees and drizzling when we started. By miles 7, 8 and 9 it was a full downpour with thunder. Once it stopped it did not rain for the rest of the race.
